Government Optimizing Development of NTT, All Parties Need to Maintain Conduciveness During the ASEAN Summit

East Nusa Tenggara — The implementation of the 2023 ASEAN Summit must run in a conducive manner, therefore the community should be able to stop the demonstrations being carried out. The reason is, so far development efforts in NTT itself have also continued to be carried out by the local government.

The Governor of NTT, Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat said that his party would continue to increase hard work and collaboration in order to be able to overcome all the difficult conditions in his region.

“Because it requires hard work and positive collaboration so that we can be able to make breakthroughs so that productivity and all work programs can be carried out properly, so that we can get out of difficult conditions,” he said.

This is because education in NTT itself is statistically still lagging behind other provinces in Indonesia.

Therefore, it really requires effort and hard work in order to catch up.

“Therefore, we need effort or hard work to catch up,” said Viktor.

One of the things that makes the level of education in NTT still lower than other regions is that schools are still in trouble.

“But if we calculate the average, it is certain that in normal conditions there are still many schools with problems,” he explained.

Furthermore, Governor Viktor then invited all parties to be involved in a collaboration to build education.

The reason is, if education development is only carried out by the Department of Education, of course it will not be enough.

“We need the involvement of related agencies such as the Health Office, the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Service,” he said.

“But if we build high schools/vocational schools and then the Education Office runs alone and never builds collaboration with existing agencies, this is what is difficult to build education in NTT,” he added.

It is known that efforts to continue to advance education were carried out by the Governor of NTT by handing over Education Funds sourced from the general allocation fund (DAU).

The Education Fund that was handed over was IDR 9,648,848,000 for 13 SMAs and SMKs in Malacca Regency.

Not only that, the Governor of NTT also handed over assistance for a drinking water supply system (SPAM) worth IDR 2,165,379,674 which was handed over by the Regent of Malacca, Simon Nahak to the Director of SPAM.
