Under the Leadership of Budi Gunawan, PB ESI Brings the Esport National Team to the Top of the World Board
Banten – Greeted with pride and emotion, the achievements made by the Indonesian Esports National Team (Timnas) were able to win 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal at the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia until May 12, 2023.
Regarding this matter, the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Esports Council (PB ESI), General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan even revealed that he was speechless because of how proud he was to know the many proud achievements the Indonesian Esports National Team had achieved.
So far, the maximum support that has been continuously provided by PB ESI under the leadership of Budi Gunawan will continue to ensure that Esports really develops, so that it is no longer seen as just a game.
Budi Gunawan said that there are lots of positive values from electronic sports for Indonesia’s younger generation. Even with Esports, it is possible to hone the abilities of the younger generation to create a superior generation.
“PB ESI wants to ensure that the development of esports in Indonesia is not just a type of game. However, it must be developed so that it has many other benefits for the development of the younger generation. In addition to the game aspect, Esports is useful for honing the abilities of young people to become a superior generation. Likewise, we are aiming for Esports to become a new sport that is growing rapidly with great economic, social and cultural potential,” said Budi Gunawan.
It is known that the targets given by PB ESI at the 2023 SEA Games are 4 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze.
