Banten – The Indonesian women’s Mobile Legends esport team and the Valorant esport national team have arrived in Indonesia on Friday (12/5/2024). The women’s Mobile Legends esport national team won a gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia. This is the first time Mobile Legends has been competed in the SEA Games and makes the 44th gold medal for the Red and White Contingent.

In addition, this victory is also the first time for the Indonesian Mobile Legends national team after overthrowing the Philippine national team on Thursday (11/5/2023) yesterday. Indonesia won from the Philippines with a score of 3-2

Meanwhile, the Valorant Indonesia national team also won a gold medal. However, previously they had decided not to continue the final match against Singapore.

The Singapore Valorant esport national team is suspected of having committed fraud by using a number of bugs to illegally monitor other players.

The Valorant Indonesia National Team also protested to the committee. However, the committee considers that the use of the bug is a minor violation. As a result, it was decided that the Indonesian and Singapore Valorant national teams would both win gold medals.

Overall, the Esport National Team won 3 medals including 2 gold (Women’s Mobile Legend and Valorant) and 1 silver (Crossfire).

This achievement is proof of the success of Budi Gunawan’s PB ESI leadership in being able to present a real picture of the large and broad potential of Esports. Esports is not only limited to sports achievements, but also sportstainment, sports tourism and strengthening the creative digital economy.
