The new normal era which only opened a month now allows us to do activities outside the home. But unfortunately new normal is considered an independence day for some people, and they get revenge by traveling everywhere without wearing a mask. Health protocols should still be obeyed in the new normal era.
Achmad Yurianto, a government spokesman for handling Co-19 stated that the community must understand that the new normal does not mean the situation has returned to normal. Actually, the new normal era is a time when we change our old habits before Corona attacks Indonesia. So we still have to obey strict health protocols, to break the chain of the spread of the covid-19 virus, so that the situation is safe.
Actually adhering to health protocols isn’t too difficult, is it? Moreover, since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been accustomed to always wearing cloth masks when we are outdoors, diligently washing hands or using hand sanitizers. We also become diligent in maintaining house cleanliness and even spraying disinfectant fluids to maintain hygiene, and maintain body immunity. All done so as not to easily contract corona.
Unfortunately there are still those who are negligent and violate health protocols. Finally, this carelessness brought victims. One family in Bantul was affected by corona, due to contracting from relatives. Apparently the brother had traveled to Surabaya. In the provincial capital of East Java, including the black zone, so many co-19 patients there. Finally, the virus carried to Bantul.
Why did it happen like this? First, he was negligent because he went to an area that was included in a dangerous zone and then returned did not do a swab test, or at least independent isolation so that his body remained safe. In fact, he instead spread the covid-19 virus to other innocent people. This situation is really unfortunate.
Discipline also must be done when visiting other people’s homes and do not carelessly hold hands to shake hands. In fact, it is now encouraged to do long-distance greetings such as saluting with a palm placed in front of the chest. Do not carelessly hold small children if not permitted. Remember the case when a baby contracted corona in the Madura area, because he contracted from a careless visitor and held him. Babies are adorable, but that’s no reason to touch them without permission.
In this new normal era, weddings must also go through health protocols. Like brides, families, until the prince must wear a mask. In front of the thanksgiving place, a hand washing tap or hand sanitizer must be provided. The number of guests is also a maximum of 30 people, and that includes families who come, not invited guests from outside.
Unfortunately in Semarang there is a family affected by corona after a wedding. Why did the covid-19 virus transmission case occur? It could be that there are too many guests coming or there are neighbors who are determined to come and say bye, even though he was not invited. It may be that the people in the place are crowded so they disregard the rules of physical distancing.
Never neglect and ignore health protocols in the new normal era, because this is not back to normal. Everyone should be disciplined in wearing a clean cloth mask and must be replaced every 4 hours.
Also be diligent to wash your hands or use a hand sanitizer, you can also use gloves. Don’t shake hands with everyone and avoid holding babies and parents. Because they are prone to contracting the covid-19 virus. All the rules and obligations of complying with this health protocol are actually for our mutual safety.
