Jakarta – The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) under the leadership of the Head of BIN Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc. held the Launching and Release of the Jakarta BIN Women’s Volleyball Team and the Jakarta STIN BIN Men’s Volleyball Team for the 2024 Proliga. The event was held at the BIN Sports Hall, Sunday (21/4/2024).
At the launching event, Jakarta BIN showed its enthusiasm to break into the world of sports in the country, especially in volleyball.

“Our volleyball team will fight to bring good name to our institution. “Continue to maintain BIN’s good name by providing the best performance,” said the Head of BIN.
Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si also encouraged high fighting spirit and strong belief that victory would increase.
“We have big dreams, to carve out the names of Jakarta BIN and Jakarta STIN BIN, as champions of the 2024 Proliga and to become the best volleyball club in Indonesia,” said the Head of BIN.
“We can definitely do it, good luck to the BIN volleyball team,” he added.
He also gave very high appreciation to the coaches and officials who he believes in the 2024 proliga can bring the BIN volleyball team to victory.
Previously, on the same occasion, the Chairman of the Sports Association (PORBIN) Komjen Bambang Sunarwibowo said that the formation of the BIN Volleyball Team was a concrete form of BIN’s attention under the leadership of the Head of BIN Police General (Purn) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si.
“To improve development and welfare for national volleyball athletes, so that they can continue to excel and make the name of the Indonesian nation proud on the world stage,” said Bambang
Bambang also revealed that the BIN volleyball team had recruited the best volleyball athletes, not only at the national level, but also at the international level.
The Jakarta STIN BIN men’s team is strengthened by Ryan Masajedi, the coach who succeeded in bringing the Pasundan BIN team to become 1st place in the main division volleyball national championship in 2023. Meanwhile, the Jakarta BIN women’s team is coached by Danai Sriwa Charamay Takul, a coach from Thailand who succeeded in bringing the Thai national team into the championship. Bambang conveyed a message that athletes can increase cooperation, solidity and mutual respect.
“Athletes show their spirit and fighting mentality and bring our team to become champions in the 2024 Proliga,” said Bambang, raising the enthusiasm of the young generation.
For your information, volleyball is one of the eight professional sports at PORBIN, apart from Running Club, Weightlifting Club, Swimming Club, Tennis Club, Shooting Club, Satlasus Tarung Derajat, and Esports.
