KST was criticized by the public for inviting junior high school students to join in the attack. They are destroying the future of young Papuans who should still be studying. But instead invited to fight and rebel. KST must be eradicated so that the youth of Cendrawasih Earth will be saved for their future.
Papua is synonymous with its natural beauty and also its mining resources in the form of high quality copper. But unfortunately Papua is also known for KST (separatist and terrorist groups) which have become troublemakers and defamed the name of Cendrawasih Earth. This rebel group has repeatedly carried out actions that harmed society and even threatened lives.
Even more sadly, KST members are not only young and old, but also junior high school students. The results of an investigation from the Intan Jaya Regional Police, Central Papua, stated that junior high school children were recruited by KST and then ‘disappeared’ and suddenly appeared to the public. But he came carrying a firearm and tried to shoot civilians.
The results of the investigation by the authorities were proven when KST carried out another attack. Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Colonel Kav Herman Taryaman revealed that the Papuan KST mob again attacked security forces in Intan Jaya, Central Papua on Sunday and Monday April 23 and 24 2023 in Sambili, Kusage and Mamba Bawah Villages. Apart from attacking the security forces, they also fought with the villagers.
Colonel Kav Herman Taryaman added, KST involved junior high and high school students to attack TNI personnel. The local people began to get angry and chased the members of the Papuan KST or KKB gang out of their village. The community did it because KST was very troubling.
KST is too outrageous for recruiting young people who should go to middle school and high school but their future is destroyed instead. Papuan youths were invited to become members of the KST and then directed to become snipers, then rebelled. KST has done brainwashing and influenced them to join in hating the Indonesian government.
Even innocent young people are taught to cock their guns and become little rebels. Whereas they should enjoy a beautiful youth and study diligently. But even invited to rebel and drop out of school.
It is suspected that the KST member who recruited the youth was S Waker. He has been kidnapping youths for several months and then training them to become new cadres. It was said that they kidnapped them because the parents of the elementary school children did not know that their children were being trained to become KST members.
Meanwhile, researcher Veronica Koman stated that KST recruited young people and influenced them to hate the government. In a sense, KST has taught the youth the wrong things, because Indonesia has never colonized Papua. But these young people were too innocent and trusting, so they just agreed to the KST director.
The community criticized the KST action because it had violated many regulations. They went too far for recruiting junior high school kids to be shooters and rebels. Even though the children who dropped out of school were taken, they were still not old enough because they were not yet 17 years old. Children should study at home, if indeed they are not in school. But even being trained to fight the authorities, it’s really pathetic!
If the KST frontman is caught, he could be subject to the kidnapping of minors and get the punishment he deserves. There needs to be affirmation and law enforcement for KST, especially those who recruit junior high school students. Because what they did was too much, and made the child’s parents also lose.
How can junior high school kids who are still innocent even be persuaded and made into new cadres? The reason for KST is always the same: regeneration, because in this way their members will not be consumed with age. But it’s still very cruel because elementary school children who have dropped out of school are even invited to rebel and become little thugs.
Moreover, junior high school children who are still innocent are taught to rebel, which is clearly against the law. When they were small, they were taught how to cock a firearm, distinguish between types of pistols, aim arrows, etc. This lesson is not yet time and it is forbidden because they are not authorized to do so.
Parents in Papua need to closely monitor their children so they are not persuaded by KST seductions. If indeed their children do not go to school for financial or other reasons, then they are directed to study on their own or become entrepreneurs. That way they will be busy and won’t want to be kidnapped by KST and made into new cadres.
Parents are also obliged to give understanding to their children, as early as possible if possible, that KST is a traitor to the country because they want to rebel. Don’t want to have anything to do with KST because their upbringing is cruel, if it’s wrong then it’s life at stake. Holding a firearm is not cool but can actually kill yourself.
KST has recruited young people of middle-high school age to become new members. They are destroying the future of Papuan youths. The community strongly condemned KST’s actions because they harmed the people of Cendrawasih Earth and had a negative impact on young people.
