The Free Papua Organization (OPM) is not a new name on Cenderawasih. By December 1, which was claimed as the OPM’s birthday, people had to be aware of the atrocities committed by the group. This is because the separatist movement often shows brutal action to show its existence.
OPM was founded in 1965, they did not hesitate to carry out separatist military action against civil society, one of the things that was done was to take 1,300 citizens hostage and the death of a member of Brimob.
When we examine the matter of OPM, really they are not actually fighting on behalf of Papua. They are a handful of people who claim to be Papua, but are actually being used by other people or people with foreign interests.
Precisely, OPM is a traitor to the Republic of Indonesia, especially Bumi Cenderawasih. Peaceful Papua is always made full of threats and chaos.
OPM has also long tried to escape from Indonesia since the reign of the Republic of Indonesia, but not only about it, but rather to the threat and depraved actions that have been inscribed by the Egianus Kogoya leadership group.
Political observer from Cenderawasih University (Uncen), Marinus Yaung explained that the background of the rise of the Free Papua movement was more due to the need for the rupiah for elite experience.
Meanwhile, ahead of December 1, 2019, the TNI-Polri will begin tightening and reconnaissance in potential conflict areas. The TNI predicts that an armed criminal group (KKB) has successfully entered the Tembagapura area.

Currently TNI members who have been alerted at posts in the Tembagapura area continue to conduct patrols and reconnaissance. The Commander added that as many as 565 TNI troops were still on alert in the Tembagapura area.
Even so, it predicts the group has many alternative roads to enter the Tembagapura region. He also appealed to the whole community to always be careful before December 1, especially panners to start leaving the panning site.

Mahfud stressed that all potential threats must be anticipated. The security forces also have standard operational procedures (SOP) to deal with these problems.
Nevertheless, Mahfud was reluctant to divulge technical security measures and anticipation ahead of the OPM Anniversary in early December. That is because it is highly confidential and should not be given to the press.
The welfare of Papuans will be a dream if the nation’s traitors have not been eliminated from the Land of Papua.
Last year, the chief of staff of the Presidential office (KSP) Moeldoko mentioned that the road construction in Yigi District, Nduga Regency was also carried out by the OPM. The government also strongly condemned the massacre.

Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko explained that the armed groups did not want Papua to progress, so that it was often disruptive. Starting from the attack on Nduga Papua until the riots that hit a number of areas in West Papua.
The reason was that Moledoko considered that the group was worried that they would lose their influence if Papua had advanced. He also suspected that separatist groups such as OPM really did not want Papua to progress and develop rapidly.
OPM will eventually be shackled by a handful of people who want Indonesia to break up, ahead of 1 Decembner 2019. OPM movements must be watched out by various groups, so as not to cause many victims.
