KKB messed up again by burning the BTS tower belonging to a telecommunication company. This event hampered communication, because there was no means of transmitting the signal. KKB was really inconsequential when burning BTS, because it messed up the atmosphere and caused trouble for many people.

Papua and West Papua are regions gifted with natural beauty, with exotic forests and beaches. But unfortunately this beauty is tarnished by the separatists, aka armed criminal groups (KKB), who insist on independence. Even though the government has built a lot of infrastructure and facilities, they have turned a blind eye.

KKB protested in various ways. Finally, they burned 2 BTS towers belonging to a telecommunications company. The location is in Pingeli Hills in Omukia District, and in Maggubi District, Puncak Regency. Even though one BTS was only established in mid-December 2020. However, it was burned in vain because of the act of an armed criminal group.

AKBP Dicky Hermansyah Saragih, Kapolres Puncak, confirmed that there were 2 BTS burned by KKB. He found out about it from community reports and field investigations. When officers from Ring Palapa checked 2 BTS by helicopter, it was discovered that the 2 towers were on fire.

When 2 BTS burned down, communication between Papuan civilians was automatically interrupted. Because there is no tower that transmits the HP signal. The result was fatal, because what was missing was a 4G signal. So that people in the Puncak area cannot call, send WA messages, or access the internet.

Completely dead internet access is very disturbing, because children will find it difficult to study at home. Online classes cannot be conducted and students cannot submit assignments to the teacher and teacher. They were confused because they couldn’t access Zoom and WA, then had to stop the class as long as the tower wasn’t functioning.

In addition, adults also struggle because they can’t use cellphones. What if there is something urgent, for example having to call medical personnel when there is an accident? Or there is a wife who wants to give birth but cannot contact her husband’s gadget. KKB was really cruel by cutting communication lines and causing trouble for many people.

It is not yet known how much the nominal loss suffered by the communication company that owns the BTS tower. However, they are certain to have a headache because they have to replace the tower with a new one, and there are more costs for installation, operation, and so on. Many people hate the KKB for causing various chaos.

I don’t know what KKB had in mind when burning 2 BTS towers. Maybe they thought that by cutting off the lines of communication, the government would be in trouble. However, they do not think about the impact on civilians, who in fact are brothers of the same tribe, country of origin and country.

How can you realize Papuan independence if you often harm the people of Cendrawasih Earth? The violent methods used by the KKB actually backfired, because civilians hated them even more. It will also refuse to join the Federal Republic of West Papua and will look away when given the Morning Star flag.

Why does the KKB insist on liberating Papua? Currently on Earth of Paradise is far different from the New Order era, because there are so many modernities there. Papua has even been appointed to host the 2021 PON, thus making people outside Papua see various progress there. Not necessarily if Papua became independent, they made the same thing.

The KKB atrocities made the community even more antipathy, because they had the heart to burn 2 BTS towers in the Puncak area, Papua. When the BTS is not functioning, automatically the community cannot communicate. It will be very dizzy when you can’t call or access the internet. KKB needs to be eradicated to its roots, so that it no longer messes up in Papua.
