The Islamic Defenders Front / FPI in their statement dated 15 December 2019 signed by Ahmad Shabri Lubis and Munarman criticized the DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan’s policy which was considered pro proactivity.
The essence of FPI’s statement of attitude that contains advice, input and reminds the Governor of DKI Jakarta are: first, Muslims who choose Anies Baswedan in the 2017 elections because they want a fundamental change in development orientation from pursuing high PAD towards development that prioritizes religious aspects that are comfortable for all religions.
Second, Muslims in Jakarta still believe in the Governor of DKI Jakarta to realize Jakarta’s life based on the history of its establishment in which Jakarta is a city full of religious values.
Third, strong protests against the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s policy which greatly provides opportunities, facilitating various disobedience. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is unable to fundamentally change its policy from “immorality” to the development of faithful and pious people. Anies Baswedan needs to review his policies in consultation with ulama by prioritizing halal tourism and economic policies. Fourth, demanding that the Governor revoke the permits of entertainment venues which are an arena of disobedience and disobedience and stop giving awards to places of entertainment that are not useful to achieve the index of people of faith and piety.
For FPI support groups, the statement of FPI’s attitude is very true, because first, Anies Baswedan is considered negligent in fulfilling his mandate and promises in the 2017. Local Election. Third, it could be a reflection of the disappointment of groups other than FPI such as PA 212, GPI, GNPF Ulama, and others towards Anies, so that political connections between them become disrupted. In addition, the diction used by FPI, namely the index of faithful and pious human development, should be questioned when FPI made the index and when launching it.
