Advancing to the Final, BIN’s Jakarta Volleyball Team is One Step More to Make History in Proliga 2023
JAKARTA – The Jakarta BIN women’s volleyball team managed to silence Jakarta Pertamina Fastron with a score of 3-2 (25-21, 20-25, 16-25, 25-20, 15-9). The match was fierce and at the same time became a proving ground for Jakarta BIN to make achievements in the 2023 Proliga competition.
In the match against Jakarta Pertamina Fastron, Jakarta BIN excelled in the first set of the match with a score of 25-21. This advantage was achieved thanks to the brilliant action of international player Peiyan Chen who successfully dominated the game and locked the Jakarta Pertamina Fastron attack. But in the second and third sets the situation turned around because Jakarta Fastron managed to excel in the two sets.
In the next two sets, the Jakarta BIN team was able to return to the lead and control the game over Jakarta Pertamina Fastron with a score of 25-20, 15-9. The two-set victory ended the match because in the Pertamina set, the Jakarta BIN team had won by one set, so the final score of the match was 3-2.
Jakarta BIN coach, Octavian said, today’s match was a preparatory event for the Final Four so that the mentality of competing can be formed for the Jakarta BIN team. Even though there were mistakes in several sets that led to defeat, Octavian is optimistic that he can present victory in the Final Four later.
“Alhamdulillah, the rotation has been running even though there are obstacles, hopefully this match will give us confidence to face the Final Four,” said Octavian on Friday (17/2/2023).
Meanwhile, Outside Hitter from the Jakarta BIN team, Aulia Suci Nurfadila said that the match against Jakarta Pertamina Fastron had experienced a few problems. The rotation strategy and resting Peiyan Chen in the second and third sets made the match even more difficult for the Jakarta BIN team. However, the team was able to move quickly to adapt as well as read the opponent’s strategy.
“Thank God, the match went well even though there were a few obstacles, maybe earlier Peiyan Chen was not feeling well, so the game dropped a little. This match will be used as an evaluation so that the Jakarta BIN team can do even better in the future to make history as a champion,” said Aulia.
This victory brought the Jakarta BIN team into the Final Four and was in third place with 18 points.
