After various riots in Papua, the economy began to rise even though it limped. When Papua Governor Lukas Enembe came with the police and military officials to come there, the people who had fled to the police headquarters, had returned to their homes. Stalls have started to open, but the numbers are few.

The riots in Papua resulted in thousands of people from various regions residing in Papua flocking back to their hometowns. Some are funded by the local government, but there are also those who spend their personal money.

Papua Police Chief Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw reminded workers temporarily not to go to work outside the Wamena City area. Because the security situation in some suburbs of Wamena is not really conducive.

The Regional Police Chief admitted that all the Regional Governments, together with the security forces, had worked hard to work to restore the situation of Wamena City, which had been devastated due to the riots. With the Kamtibmas situation which has gradually recovered, he said, school, government and health activities in the City of Wamena are now starting to squirm again.

Riots have no benefit at all for all parties, because the trouble will affect all lines of life, the economy will certainly be disrupted.

We are grateful, all parties have worked hard in promoting lasting peace in the land of Papua. One of them, the ‘Peace of Papua’ action carried out by Papua’s proud football team, Persipura Jayapura, took to the streets to distribute flowers, mineral water and bookmarks to road users.

In the Persipura social media account upload, seen the Black Pearl squad unfurled a banner reading ‘#SaveNduga #SaveWamena Hope and Our Support for Peaceful Papua’.

They carried out the action divided into 3 regions. The first point on the Sentani red light, the second on the red light Abe circle, and the last at zero point Jayapura Taman Imbi.

The situation in the Papua riots in Wamena and other regions began with racial issues. The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) said the riots that occurred in Wamena, Papua, were caused by a misunderstanding related to the issue of a teacher who was said to harass his students with racial tone. Komnas HAM Chairman Ahmad Taufan Damanik said the misunderstanding occurred when a teacher at PGRI High School was teaching and asked a student to speak louder.

Various provocations and hoaxes are widely spread on social media to encourage the international world to interfere with our authority in managing conflicts in Papua. Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko believes there are indications of provocation from foreign parties related to the riots in Wamena, Papua. He said there were those who wanted history in Indonesia to unintentionally commit gross human rights violations. Indonesia deliberately lured to do that. So that the resolution of cases of human rights violations that occurred in Papua handled by the United Nations (UN).

As children of the nation we need to be vigilant and careful in spreading information, because the hoax-provocative phenomenon has been massive. Many ways we can do in assessing the content of the news hoax or not, usually if the title of the news or information is very interesting, most of the news is hoaxes. In addition, we can also check the news facts through trusted media.
